Large-Scale Recreation + Destination Pursuit
Our Field of Dreams
A large-span destination concept shaped by dramatic roof geometry, daylight and a strong public arrival.
Project Story
A roof that becomes the identity.
The Field of Dreams pursuit studies a large recreation or destination building where the roof does more than cover the program. Broad folded planes sweep across the low perimeter volume, creating a recognizable silhouette and shaping the public approach.
The concept uses contrast between a grounded masonry base, expansive glazing and a lighter roof form to give a very large building a clear architectural idea.
The pursuit of this project and property is ongoing. MMA stays optimistic for something great for the community on this parcel.
Big span. Simple base. One strong move.
Testing how the big move meets the ground
A series of exterior studies compares roof expression, glazing, wall height and the relationship between the primary volume and its public edge.
