Accessibility statement
Mitchel Marshall Architect, PLLC wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our standard
This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Those guidelines are the reference used for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
- Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Slideshows can be paused, pause when you hover or focus them, and do not move at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and lists so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
- Image viewers and the mobile menu keep focus inside them and close with the Escape key.
- Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are described in text and announced.
- The layout works when zoomed to 200% and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels.
Known limitations
- Hand-drawn sketches and renderings are described by their captions; fine drawing detail may not be fully conveyed in text. We are happy to describe any project in more detail on request.
- Project videos will be added over time. Each will include captions when it is published.
