02 Why MMA

Principal attention where it matters most.

MMA is structured around direct principal involvement, from major higher-education work to small existing-building renovations where speed, field verification and practical coordination are critical.

  1. Comparable higher-ed experience

Career-long experience on university residence halls, athletics, campus planning and renovations, including UAB work while at CMH.

  2. Concurrent project capacity

Principal-led management with discipline consultants selected to match each assignment's scope, schedule and technical needs.

  3. Rapid mobilization

Lean decision-making, direct owner communication and an established local consultant bench support accelerated work.

  4. Complete professional services

Programming, feasibility, code review, architecture, engineering coordination, interiors, bid support and contract administration.

  5. Owner satisfaction

Client recommendations consistently cite patience, responsiveness, organization, professionalism and persistence.

03 Technology + Rapid Response

Capture once. Coordinate from a better starting point.

Matterport 3D capture camera on tripod

For renovation work, the fastest drawing set is still the wrong drawing set if the existing conditions are wrong. MMA's workflow puts field verification at the front of the assignment.

Field Capture

Walk the space, confirm scope and document critical conditions. Matterport / LiDAR capture supplements conventional field measurements where appropriate.

Digital Base

Use captured information to establish a more reliable existing-condition reference for Revit production and consultant coordination.

Early Coordination

Give engineering and specialty consultants a shared visual record of the space before design decisions harden.

Focused Documents

Scale the drawing effort to the work. Produce what the owner needs to price, permit and build without unnecessary process.

The point is not the tool. The point is response.

A lean architectural team, reliable existing-condition information and consultants brought in only when needed shorten the distance between notice to proceed and a coordinated solution.

04 Team Structure

Lean at the core. Deep where the work requires it.

MMA remains the single point of accountability while Sunfire Designs adds experienced architectural capacity. Engineering and specialty disciplines are brought in deliberately, so the team scales around the actual scope.
